In 1904 White Knight was a single high-street laundry in Kilburn, London, owned by Herbert Tomlins and trading as White King Laundry.

Later to become White Knight, the company has served customers in the South East of England with quality laundry and dry cleaning collection and delivery services for domestic and business clients for over a 100 years. In that time White Knight has undergone some major changes.

Through the acquisition of laundries in the Greater London and South East areas and the purchase of the "books” from other ‘troubled’ laundries, White Knight grew the business significantly. The next major step to expand the company's offering was in the 1970’s when White Knight set-up a linen rental service and acquired a rental warehouse to support it.

Investments in a huge 43,000 square foot, purpose built laundry in Eastbourne, the South East’s largest, and an industry leading advance on the domestic laundry franchise market set White Knight apart as real industry innovators – never afraid to explore and develop opportunities outside of the conventional business models.
