Another First for White Knight
Friday, August 26, 2011
On Wednesday 17th August, 11 delegates from White Knight Laundry Services Ltd attended the first LTC training course, conducted by Richard Neale, for the use of the new LTC Customer Support Test Kit.
The kit has been designed by LTC in conjunction with White Knight following a request by White Knight’s MD, Robert Adams, as a result of the increase in cotton prices and the need to protect the investment in linen made by all laundry companies.
Robert felt there was a need to be able to professionally prove to the customer when linen has been misused by their staff and customers, therefore clarifying the contentious issue of which party should be liable for the replacement of damaged items.
The tests vary from testing for metal marks, where napkins have been used to polish cutlery, for example, to abrasion damage when a duvet cover or pillowcase has been used as a bag and dragged along a hotel corridor.
White Knight’s Stock Auditors will test damaged stock in front of the customer whilst the stock is still on the customer's premises and will do the same within its own laundries in the presence of the laundry managers to determine the cause of the damage and where the onus to pay for the replacements should lie.
Robert says, “All laundry companies’ stock suffers from both customer and laundry misuse and I am therefore happy for the LTC to roll out the test kits to any other laundry company that is interested.”
