Supporting our Schools

White Knight door2door has introduced "Supporting our Schools", a scheme which offers schools cashback whenever a parent, grandparent, friend or member of staff uses their laundry and dry cleaning collection and delivery service.

The first school to participate in the scheme was Hawkedon Primary School in Lower Earley and the Headteacher, Alan Youd was presented with a cheque by Jane Jones, Business Development Executive at White Knight door2door. Mr Youd said that he is always keen to support businesses which benefit the local community and this initiative has the added benefit of raising money for the school. The cash from White Knight will be put towards the purchase of large planters which incorporate seating areas in which the pupils will grow plants of their choice.

"The more parents, relatives and staff we can encourage to use White Knight door2door and other initiatives we run, the more the children will benefit from the funds raised."

White Knight door2door has a network of local Franchisees who collect and deliver to homes and workplaces across the south and south-east of England. Mike Sadler, Franchisee for this area, lives in Woodley and has been franchising with White Knight for 5 years. He is always keen to promote new initiatives within his territory, particularly when they support the local community. Robert Adams, Director of Franchising said, "This is a great opportunity for parents and relatives to get involved in fundraising for their children´s school without even having to leave their home or office. We have found that once people know what we do and start to use our door2door service, they generally become long-standing customers. A number of schools have already joined the Supporting our Schools programme and we hope look forward to helping them raise much-needed funds."
