The face of White Knight’s new Workwear division

Ellie Wharton, 26, has worked with White Knight Laundry Services for six years, and over the past year has played a key role in setting up the company’s new division dedicated to the supply, rental and laundering of work wear for a wide range of industries.

It was during her first role (1999 – 2001) as a White Knight internal service representative, that Ellie first came in contact with the world of work wear - White Knight has always offered the service to customers but has never actively promoted it until now. In 2002, Ellie moved to the laundry’s business support department but continued to manage the work wear accounts as part of her role. After much positive feedback from White Knight’s existing work wear customers, the decision was made in October 2004 to set up work wear as a fully-fledged arm of the company’s operations.

Ellie spends her time around the south east of England, servicing current work wear customers and meeting with potential clients. The aim of the new division is to supply a premium work wear service to engineering companies, industrial premises, printing firms, catering and food management businesses and medical establishments. White Knight’s work wear division offers:

• supply, rental, collection, laundering and delivery of work wear
• client consultation to ensure all workwear conforms to health and safety regulations
• corporate logo application
• locker management services
• washroom services

Ellie attended Chiltern Edge School in Sonning Common and completed German, English Language & Literature and Psychology A-levels at Henley College. Prior to joining White Knight, she worked in the public house trade, and spent two years with Henley Dry Cleaners dealing with all aspects of the day-to-day running of the business.

Ellie lives in Tilehurst, Reading with her fiancé. When she’s not talking to customers about work wear, Ellie is a keen gym member and attends a number of fitness classes in her spare time.
