White Knight Laundry Group 2011 Conference
White Knight Laundry Services based in Reading, held their Group Conference on Saturday 5th February 2011. It was a review of the company’s Business to Business and Domestic Laundry activities in 2010 plus plans for 2011 and beyond.
Over one hundred employees, franchisees and business partners were in attendance plus various speakers including Peter Hallett, Ecolab’s Corporate Accounts Manager, Richard Neale, Director of the Laundry Technology Centre and Murray Simpson, Chief Executive of the TSA and Tom Endean, Marketing Manager, The British Franchise Association.
Robert Adams, White Knight’s Managing Director commented on a challenging 2010 that witnessed many demands on the laundry industry as a whole and how White Knight Laundry, were successfully meeting these challenges, whilst implementing plans for the future success of the Group.
Central to White Knight’s future, is the recent re-opening of the Group’s Head Office in Reading as a working laundry. The significant investment in Reading offers many advantages. Geographically, the Caversham site represents a huge advantage to cultivate and capitalise on a vibrant catchment area whilst freeing up capacity in Eastbourne and realising huge savings in man hours and fuel costs.
Moving forward, White Knight plans to implement a host of new initiatives from flexible rental plans, improved marketing strategies and internal perating systems to enhance the smooth running of the Group and guarantee the future success of the one hundred year old company.
