Knight Riders Fourth Charity Bike Ride
Wednesday, July 21, 2010
Once again, staff from across the White Knight business, their families and friends, took to the cycle paths of Windsor Great Park to raise money for Asthma UK. This was the fourth time the "Knight Ride" has taken place and the second time for this worthwhile cause.
The weather was kind and participants were able to take in the sights of Virginia Water, Smith's Lawn and the Deer Park, stopping for an ice cream (or two!) along the way. Carriage driving and a polo match gave everyone an excuse for a much-needed rest at the top of a particularly exhausting hill climb.
At the end of the 10 mile route the group of 35 cyclists and 9 non-cyclists met for a picnic in the sunshine at the foot of the impressive totem pole, swapping stories and soothing aching limbs. Same again next year, everyone?
