Leon Kirk – East Sussex Franchise

A former pub landlord in Berkshire and Surrey and former restaurant owner in Eastbourne, Leon Kirk bought the East Sussex franchise in August 2004 covering the coast from Hastings to Brighton and up to Tunbridge Wells.

Having considered the franchise business area for a number of years, Lee knew he wanted to invest in a franchise and was merely waiting for the right company. The opportunity with White Knight came about when Lee met Robert Adams, Franchise Director, at the Wembley Franchisee Show in April 2004.

After the initial introduction to White Knight door2door, Lee visited the company’s Woking site and was impressed and “drawn-in” by the honesty and friendliness of the team. Now that he no longer has to deal with the London commuter traffic, the day-to-day running of a pub and the staff problems that go with that, Leon and his wife are now enjoying a better quality of life in Bexhill-on-Sea.

Lee sees his priorities as marketing the quality and reliability of his laundry and dry cleaning business in East Sussex to new and existing customers. To help him get up-to-speed quickly with his service, Lee spent his first three weeks with a “map-reader” from the Woking office to help him improve his geographical knowledge of the area. Now, if he gets lost, he relies on his GPS mapping system to tell him the way!
